IMBROS gorge is 7km long (about 2:30 hours of walking) going from the altitude of 780m all the way down to the Libyan sea. It is a magnificent gorge with very high walls. At some point the walls are so narrow you can almost touch the two sides with both hands extended.
IMBROS (about 55km from Chania) where the crossing of Imbros gorge begins. After the crossing you can drive back to IMBROS village for a light lunch which is a unique experience and then back to Chania.
The place where you can stop for lunch (Porofarago) is owned by a family that makes and serves their own cheese, yogurt, oil... After lunch and on your way back to Chania, you can stop at an exhibit (kANAKIS) of local products like oil, honey, herbs... to view and buy if you wish...
